Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s town hall in Cobb County, Georgia, turned into a full-blown spectacle Tuesday night as police tased one protester and forcibly removed at least seven others. The Georgia firebrand had warned troublemakers to stay away, but that didn’t stop a swarm of agitators—some allegedly backed by outside activist groups—from trying to hijack the event. The incident highlights the growing hostility faced by conservative lawmakers trying to engage with their communities amid escalating left-wing protests and organized disruption efforts.
Greene’s Warning Ignored by Outside Agitators
Before the town hall even began, Greene made it crystal clear: the event was for constituents only. “I will answer questions from anyone who lives in my district—Democrats or Republicans,” she said. “But if you’re coming to cause problems, you will be removed.”
Still, protesters showed up, apparently undeterred. As Greene took the stage to speak, disruptions broke out almost immediately. Police swiftly intervened, removing one individual before the event could even get underway. But things got worse.
Taser Used After Protester Resists Arrest
The situation escalated when one particularly belligerent protester resisted removal. Video from the scene shows law enforcement trying to escort the protester out—only to be met with defiance and physical resistance. Officers had no choice but to deploy a taser to subdue the protester and restore order.

As the tased protester was dragged out of the venue, the crowd erupted—some in support of the law enforcement response, others egging on the chaos. In total, seven individuals were removed, and police confirmed the use of non-lethal force to protect the safety of attendees and staff.
Reports indicate that several of those kicked out were “Astroturf” protesters—meaning they posed as concerned locals but were likely backed by national left-wing groups. It’s a tactic Greene and other conservatives have faced before, as outside activists attempt to infiltrate community events to make political statements.
Greene Thanks Police, Keeps Focus on Constituents
Despite the chaos, Greene kept her composure, thanking law enforcement for their quick action and vowing to keep her focus on the people she represents. Once order was restored, the town hall resumed, and Greene continued answering questions from her district’s residents.

Her office released a statement later saying, “These disruptions are part of a broader, coordinated effort to silence conservative voices. But Rep. Greene will never back down from speaking directly to her constituents.”
This is just the latest example of radical activists trying to disrupt civil discourse, especially when it involves bold conservatives like Marjorie Taylor Greene. Rather than engage in a respectful exchange of ideas, these agitators chose violence and chaos. But Greene, as usual, stood her ground.
In today’s divided political landscape, it’s clear that conservatives who speak boldly and truthfully are under attack, not just in the media but in their own communities. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s town hall may have been disrupted—but her message was not. And neither she nor the movement behind her is going anywhere.
