These Soros-backed groups are conducting organized attacks on Musk’s businesses through vandalism, arson, and coordinated protest campaigns aimed at undermining his growing influence in conservative circles.
Soros Money Fuels Anti-Musk Campaign
Billionaire George Soros has provided massive financial support to the Indivisible Project, one of five leftist groups identified by Elon Musk as responsible for coordinated protests against Tesla. The Open Society Foundations, Soros’ primary funding vehicle, has channeled $7.6 million to this organization while claiming they “do not direct, coordinate, or dictate the strategies or activities” of groups they support.
Tesla vehicles have been targeted with acts of vandalism including arson and graffiti that appear politically motivated against Musk’s conservative positioning. House Speaker Mike Johnson has announced a congressional investigation into these attacks, with planned involvement from the Department of Justice and FBI to examine what he called “domestic terrorism” against Tesla owners.

Musk identified five specific ActBlue-funded organizations behind the protest campaign: Troublemakers, Disruption Project, Rise & Resist, Indivisible Project, and Democratic Socialists of America. The Indivisible Project stands out as the most heavily funded by Soros, serving as a coordination hub for protests while raising significant funds through related political action committees.
Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) has formed an alliance with the Indivisible Project to organize protests against Musk and boasts a large membership base of radical leftists. The Disruption Project specializes in providing protest training, maintains connections to Action Network, and actively promotes a campaign they call “Tesla Takedown” designed to damage Musk’s business interests.

Rise & Resist has organized numerous protests against Musk while facing reported financial difficulties that haven’t prevented their involvement in the “Tesla Takedown” campaign. Troublemakers, the fifth organization identified, focuses primarily on environmental activism as their justification for targeting Tesla, despite the company’s role in advancing electric vehicle adoption.
